2 Nigerians arrested and quarantined

Two Nigerians nationals were arrested on Saturday near Assam-Tripura border in Karimganj district

During a routine check conducted by police personnel of the Churaibari outpost near Assam-Tripura border, the two Nigerian nationals were taken into police custody.

The foreigners were arrested from a bus bearing registration No. AS-01, JC-8052 which was enroute to Guwahati from Dharmanagar.

It has been found that the foreigners had come from Nigeria and entered India from Bangladesh on Saturday.

The apprehended foreigners have been identified as Chinedu Nonso(30) of Anamobra state and Kanu Kingsley(28) from Loeat in northern Nigeria.

The Nigerian nationals have been sent to Karimganj Civil Hospital and admitted in the isolation ward where all necessary coronavirus test would be conducted on the foreigners.
