Revised Guidelines Announced for Air and Rail Passengers in Assam

Revised guidelines have been issued for people travelling via air or rail to and from Assam by Health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

If you are travelling to Assam and got the RT-PCR test is done at the origin place for a duration of 72 hrs before departure, then you don’t need to get tested on arrival in Assam.

Whereas for people travelling outside of Assam and if they have a return trip within 24 hrs, the person need not undergo testing and as well as quarantine.

For children below the age of 10 years don’t need to get tested on arrival but, in case the parents’ wishes to get their child tested, the same will be applied.

Also, for officials including multilateral agencies, CID officials, income tax, and other undercover agents who provided prior information to the Deputy Commissioner will be exempted from getting tested on arrival.
